​MAY 30 Secret Arcade party

The Secret Arcade party will kick off at 8pm in a secret location in Glasgow City Centre.

 

This is a FREE but ticketed event.

HOW TO TAKE PART?

 

If you still want to take part there are a few ways: 

 

writing reviews to fictional games: these don't really have a limit or a minimum requirement as i will gather it all in one zine for the party, you can provide your own illustration to the game you are reviewing if you'd like although that is not completely necessary.

 

 designing  a poster for the main event. The exhibition is around the "The Secret Arcade" theme, so although not only retro inspired posters will make it, they do have to have something of "an urban legend" behind it, a bespoke poster. 

 

The only requirement is that the file resolution is suitable for an at least A4 print, ideally an A3. We are running with the "quality not quantity" principle so instead of tons of posters, It will be a selective number of them in bold sizes. The posters will be compiled into the zine as well for keeps sake.

 

For either review or poster the deadline is the 6th May.

 

some detail you might want to include when designing your poster/writing a review: a studio name, the console maker of it, the year, etc. but that will depend on the kind of poster you are designing.  We will also need any extra info that doesn't go on the poster but can use it to give it context (that will go in the zine; and the name you'd like to "sign" the art under so we can credit it accordingly!

 

video projection  for during the dj sets and party opening. these don't need to be about games necessarily as they will also be used for the dj sets.

 

the slot times are ideally for around 1 hour each, Although they can be shorts but a minimum of 30 mins is required.

 

they will also be credit in the zine.
